The best people to lead children to Christ are their parents.  And the best time to begin handing down your faith to children is when they are young and in your home. 

If we were left to the mercy of how we were raised, most of us would be in bad shape.  But God, in His grace, has given us a way to reverse negative patterns and live as happy families.
