God's Battle Plan for Believers

When we hear about spiritual warfare, we often think about protecting ourselves or our loved ones from a satanic attack. We should certainly take up the Lord's armor in defense (Ephesians 6:11-18), but we should also remember that our personal battle is part of a larger war.

God wants everyone to be saved

The Lord desires that all men be saved. (1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9) He offers eternal life to everyone who will receive it through faith in Jesus Christ. There's never been a person to whom this offer was not available; however, many people reject God's offer, choosing instead to believe Satan's lies.

Satan wants no one to be saved

The Enemy goes to great lengths to fuel alternative religions and other false beliefs in an effort to prevent people from receiving eternal life. He tries to destroy anything that brings glory to God rather than to him. (John 10:10) But the Lord's plan for mankind is greater than any lie Satan can conceive. (1 John 4:4)

God's battle plan

Wearing the full armor of God, believers are to be His witnesses locally, regionally, and internationally. (Acts 1:8) Our responsibility is to teach Scripture's life-changing truths to the people who need to hear them; God can then close their minds to the lies of Satan and move their hearts to repentance.

Our role in the plan

In Touch Ministries' role in God's plan is to connect with people worldwide, leading them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and strengthening the local church. With a goal of 100 broadcast languages by 2007, we share the Good News on both international and domestic TV and radio. In addition to teaching scriptural truth by means of the Charles Stanley Institute for Christian Living and the In Touch devotional magazine, we also touch lives through our Impact Team/Prayer Partnership.

We don't know when the end of the age will come (Matthew 24:3), but we can be sure the war for lost souls will rage on until then.
