The Power of Prayer

    Do you realize the power and magnitude of your prayers? Do you pray with the expectation that God will answer? One example of the Lord's faithfulness to answer our united prayers is the World Training Center that is currently under construction.

    Over the past months, we asked our prayer partners to pray for cooperative weather, the contractors' safety, and the needed financial resources for the building. We also requested that they pray for construction to remain on schedule. God has provided all of the above, and we are grateful to Him and our partners for their faithfulness to the project and to In Touch.

    Phase 1 is almost finished, and we are nearing completion of the Impact Center's final design. The goal of the Impact Center is to inspire and instruct visitors from around the world, motivating them to:

Become all that God has in mind for them.

Better understand what God is doing around the world.

Be challenged to participate in His work through In Touch Ministries.

 

    As we commence construction of the Impact Center, please pray that the Lord will continue to answer prayers as He has in Phase 1, particularly with regard to needed financial resources for the project.

Spreading the Word

    For many people, February brings thoughts of love and valentines. Through your faithful prayers and contributions, you are helping us to spread God's love to a lonely world. You are a partner in reaching millions through radio broadcasts in familiar languages. The goal for In Touch is to translate Dr. Stanley's sermons into 100 languages by 2012that is 8 years earlier than we originally projected. 90% of the world's population understands one or more of the languages we have chosen.

    The response we have received so far assures us that lives are changing as a result of God's immutable message. For example: "I have been listening to your program for a long time now, and I enjoy it very much because you are sharing the Word of God. This Word has been sitting in my heart. I have made the decision to be a Christian.

    As long as I live and have strength, I want to worship Jesus as my Savior. I believe He died to save me from my sin and He rose again. I pray to Him every day that He be the Lord of my life . . . Could you also tell me how I can be baptized? How will other Christians accept me as part of the body of Christ? Could you also help me to choose a new name to show that I belong to Jesus?"     Once people receive Christ into their lives, an insatiable hunger develops to learn more about Him. But many more nations still need to hear of God's love for the first time. Since 1998, In Touch has been working toward fulfilling Dr. Stanley's vision of communicating to the world. Beginning with Batak for our Indonesian listeners, each language has been carefully chosen for maximum benefit to people groups who can understand it. We expect to broadcast in Swedish, Korean, Punjabi, Hebrew, Portuguese, and 15 others by the end of 2005, reaching a total potential audience of over one billion people with just those 20 languages. Together we will continue sowing God's Word around the world until everyone is able to reap the love and security of eternal salvation.
